I agree that would be an idea, Guest, but I've tried that and turning the blooming thing round was too painful.
My husband says he'll set up a rota for our neighbours while he's away.
The gentleman next door to do it up in the mornings, and the old boy over the road to undo me at night!

I have thought of something else. If I get a front fastening in, say, a size 36 band (which they make in cup size F) I'm handy with my needle and could sew folds on both sides to reduce the band to a 34. Bit complicated, but perhaps a solution nonetheless!

I agree with doing an extra rinse in the washing machine. Modern detergents are ferocious, and seem to cause terrible irritation if traces are left in your underclothes. I always do an extra rinse, just to be sure.
