The version my Geordie mother-in-law used to sing (following a little lubrication) went like this. Come up and see your ganny Come up and see her noo Come up and see your ganny Cos she's aal brand new She wears a tartan kilt She wears it in the fashion Pleats roond the side In the middle hangs a tassel Come up and see your ganny Come up and see her noo Come up and see your ganny Cos she's aal brand new There were more verses relating to (I think) a false leg and another about a false eye, both of which contributed to her being aal bran new. The chorus may have started as Cum up etc I'd love to know the remaining verses if anyone can oblige. Sue
