GUEST,Kevin Rietmann Folk Song Books For Sale (22) RE: Folk Song Books For Sale 22 Jan 16

Hi all, I may have to sell these piecemeal after all - UPS Ground Ship from here in Oregon to, say, Boston, for 3 packages of 40 lb boxes (books aren't light!) is ca. $250 in of itself. Other shippers might be slightly cheaper, of course, haven't checked everything, but doubt there are any big savings to be had on that front.

I happen to be in driving distance of mega book seller Powell's and noticed you can just enter a bunch of ISBN numbers on their website and get an estimate, so I spent about 45 minutes figuring out almost every one of those numbers, plugged 'em in - and was informed they were interested in just one tome...yes, most of the titles of the rejected books showed as well.

So, if any of you willing to buy the lot can drive to the Portland Oregon area I can put the collection into your hands, otherwise looks like I'll just sell what I can bit by bit.

None of the colleges I've contacted have responded in any way, a couple of them did state they only accept donations...

I'm really after cash at the moment, am between jobs and selling off what I can to make ends meet.

I'd prefer of course to get these books into the hands of my fellow musicians who'll actually get use and enjoyment out of them, of course.

Anyway, thanks for your patience here.
Kevin
