To give everyone a comprehensive view of USA weather: While the East Coast is gearing up for snow, wind and low temperatures, southeast Alaska has a temp of 42 degrees, overcast sky and not a flake of snow in sight. That's not quite true, of course- the view out my window shows a snowy mountain, but even there the snow has retreated 2/3rds of the way up. It feels like March. Except the days are still too short to feel like Spring. Currently it gets daylight about 8:30 and is dark again by 4:30.
