Steve, you'd blanch if I told you about how we made tea north of 60. I'll digress for clarity. North of 60 is a Canadian expression for north of 60 in latitude. It includes the subarctic and arctic regions.

Start with a good-sized pot. Boil water (a good gallon or more) and then take the pot off the heat. Toss in three or four teabags. That's all the attention it needs. When it cools too much, reheat it. If many people are drinking from it, just keep adding water and tea bags. There will come a point at which one should remove the bags. A rule of thumb is ten. Good for a few days with that. Some carvers while they are working on walrus tusk will toss it into the pot to help 'colour' the ivory. But rest assured that that doesn't interfere with the taste of the tea.
