GUEST,Musket BS: Hey canada (57* d) RE: BS: Hey canada 12 Mar 16

Yeah but seriously Gnu? Surely the only way to make a Canada thread interesting is to hijack the bugger? The minute I injected coffee into the thread, Lilo chipped in and as ever, it drifted into cuisine.

But would I move there if Boris became PM? Our friends in Canmore moved out about four years ago. Alberta rolled the red carpet out for UK doctors and they never looked back. Mrs Musket meanwhile gets lots of agents contacting her about moving there, Aussieland, Kiwicountry etc in a similar way.

Naw. We visit for the skiing, as we visit Aussieland to see relatives and get bitten / stung and to be honest, we did start entertaining the idea when we were in Kiwiland last, (even viewed a couple of properties.) As I said in another thread, I have right of residency in The USA but I doubt I'll be buying Dan's pad off him as he moves into Gnu's spare room.

But civilisation starts in Geordieland and ends somewhere near Nottingham. Sure, you can pop down Steve's way for overpriced gourmet fish or London for just about any and every cuisine known but beer n pork scratchings need the terroir of God's own county.
