Dorothy Parshall Yet More Clutter's Last Stand - 2016 (374* d) RE: Yet More Clutter's Last Stand - 2016 28 Mar 16

Beaver:

R arrived at midnight Saturday. With larger, but still small, frig and a mid sized freezer. Although Sunday was another "first day of spring", sunny and warm, we spent a great part of the day clearing ice and snow from deck and woodpile. R investigated the water heater problem but no stores open so ...

It started pouring in the night and rained all day until - "Oh, it stopped!" Then half an hour later is started snowing and did that until about 7 pm. Put a real damper on getting things done. And still a foot of snow on most of the yard.

The frig is in the K but needs a platform under it to make it convenient; R will build it any hour now. The freezer is on the shadiest part of the deck. I will ask B&T to put a roof over it. The hot water heater is working after a consult with our friend at the hardware store, and a new element.

BUT the pump for the mound septic has quit; that requires digging a hole to find the pump. We don't know where to dig and I asked R to go see the neighbour who grew up here - at 7 pm.... Then we both forgot. Now it is too late and tomorrow he will be at work. And R is supposed to go back to Montreal. Until that is fixed, the toilet cannot be flushed - we went to town to use facilities today!

Well, we had 3 good meals from the chicken and stuffing I cooked on Saturday.
