Here's one from GM Fraser's McAuslan stories: An orangutan escaped from a circus as it passed near a Highland estate. A pair of ghillies were out hunting, when they found the ape lying dead in a ditch. They stared at it for a few minutes, then one said to the other: "It's too lang in the legs for a Fraser, and ower-hairy for a MacPherson. Run you up tae the Big Hoose, Erchie, and see if ony o' the gentry's missing."
