Re: Alex & Peggy - What Alex said to me, was that Peggy would have been forced to leave Britain, unless she had a British spouse, and Ewan was not at that time free to marry her. He said he was paid for his trouble, and there was a song I faintly remember from the 60s, which obliquely refers to this. Although we were in Sandy Bell's at the time, he was reasonably sober.
