Dorothy Parshall Yet More Clutter's Last Stand - 2016 (374* d) RE: Yet More Clutter's Last Stand - 2016 07 Apr 16

Beaver:
Took the duvet cover apart while volunteering at A Place for the Arts; very quiet afternoon. I am used to taking out seams with a razor blade; the young man at the shop suggested an exacto knife when I balked at the absurd price of razor blades ($9!). The exacto knives - 3 for $1.49 - worked great! I have enough fancy fabric for two garments - still cogitating on the how of harem pants and may make a skirt out of other half. Yep, I googled for a pattern - fed up with nonsense but I think I know where I am going. Need to re-arrange stuff to set up sewing machine - a morning job. Also, the brown cotton of the other side, which may go to thrift shop if I cannot soon think of a use for it.

Stopped into a community org - "Lifehouse"; it appears to provide cheap lunches and a place to hang out - mainly geared to mental health, I think. But they offer free use of a washer and dryer! "call on Friday for an appointment." So I shall - just to de-clutter one load would be great!

Fifth day of "diet". I think I am doing well. Almost used to feeling hungry and realizing I CAN get by. Tomorrow is feast day - but moderately.

Drizzled today but snow did not go away and freezing tonight. Brought in more wood.
