When I moved here, but a few years ago, there were lots along the verges of Gorse Hill (aka Death Hill) and round the back of Brands Hatch, but the numbers tumbled - there are few young ones about now, but the state of the grass shows that they aren't back in numbers. I bought some meat at a farmers' market in Rochester (disappointed at the absence of heart, liver and kidney) and the dealer said that myxie had come back.
