Back in the early 1970s, I hosted a folk and blues program on a small, volunteer-run radio station in Calgary, AB. We mostly used our own records but Arhoolie, at the time, offered a sort of subscription (as I recall) to their new releases for radio stations for a very low sum. Hence, I was able to receive, and play, lps by such people as Mance Lipscomb, Big Mama Thornton, Butch Cage & Willie Thomas, and so forth. Thanks Chris Strachwitz !!
