Leftover Challah on Saturday morning (or afternoon, when I get up) makes the world's best French toast. Especially when I take the time to bake the bread myself on Friday! Challah takes all day, though. 6-8 hours of rising time, and worth every minute of it.

Pita bread is not unleavened. The pita recipe I have has you mix a sponge, which then sits overnight in the fridge. Good stuff.

No one should ever eat that crap they sell as white bread in the grocery store. Anything that keeps indefinitely shouldn't be ingested, probably. Especially if it claims to be bread.
