Indeed he will be missed. A query regarding his Times obit, published today. A picture shows him playing with Fairport Convention. The central figure, lead-singing alongside Sandy Denny at the mic, is playing an accordion or melodeon [not quite clear which]. I don't recall any free-reed bellows instruments in Fairport, and the Wikipedia entry on the group does not include an accordionist or melodeon player in any of their lineups. Who would this have been? ≈M≈
