Bat Goddess 2016 Portsmouth (NH) Maritime Festival (14) 2016 Portsmouth (NH) Maritime Festival 05 Sep 16

I posted this yesterday, but somehow it got lost.

The 2016 (17th Annual) Portsmouth (NH) Maritime Folk Festival (PMFF) will be taking place September 24th and 25th, in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

We've got a great lineup (in no particular order) -- Ben Hunter & Joe Seamons from Seattle, The Press Gang from Portland, Maine, Tim Radford, Ken Sweeney, Michael O'Leary, Ken Schatz, Chris Roe from Seattle, The Vox Hunters, Jeff Warner, London Julie, Mudhook, Emery Hutchins, Great Bay Sailor...and, as they say, more.

There's a full performer list with bios, etc. at the website -- 2016 PMFF
-- along with information about past festivals, etc. The schedule and a printable PDF of the schedule will be posted later this week. There's a new temporary venue this year. The Portsmouth Athenaeum is doing some renovations and is unavailable so the cameo concerts will be at The Clip Joint on Daniel Street less than a block from Market Square.

Everything is FREE! From the music at the historic Moffatt-Ladd House and the lawn of the John Paul Jones House to the Saturday night concert, street busking, mini-concerts and open sings (TWO venues on Saturday), to the closing shanty blast on Sunday... Please check the online schedule later this week when it's posted.

The festival's unofficial kickoff is at the regular Friday evening trad session at The Press Room (4:30-9:00) on Daniel St. to get everyone in a nautical mood.

Come and enjoy all the FREE music and maybe even meet some "famous" Mudcatters!

Linn
