As the author of the song, I can confirm that the line is "I see the Horse and Sammy..." - the Horse was the nickname of my Uncle Davy Edgar, who was engineer on the Storm Drift, and Sammy was Sammy Gemmell, the owner and skipper of the boat, which was based at Dunure, in Ayrshire. Campbell Gunn
