On a less frivolous note, a Facebook announcement from the band previously know as All Blacked Up -
ANNOUNCE: ALL BLACKED UP

We are changing our name to THE IRONMASTERS.

There has, on here and other places, been much discussion recently about the issue of black faced morris sides etc etc.
We are aware of at least one organisation that is 'unlikely' to book us again because of our name and, as we are a band that exists to perform and this is an issue that won't go away, we have taken the decision to change our name and develop the image of our band away from the current one to ensure that we are discussed mainly for our music [!].

Our new name is THE IRONMASTERS which maintains our link with Broseley and Ironbridge, the location of the bands' formative
years. It references Abraham Darby, the builder of the Ironbridge, and 'Iron-Mad' John Wilkinson the 'other' ironmaster who lived in our home town of Broseley, above the Ironbridge Gorge.

Whilst we have taken this decision to ensure no distress is caused to organisers of Ceilidh clubs and Festivals, as well as
safeguarding our future book-ability, we all view it as a hugely positive step and an opportunity to further develop the
potential of our band.
For a little time we may appear under both names as we have told organisers of current bookings that they can use either [or both!], and soon this profile shall be changed to a page [which it really should be anyway] and we will take the liberty of bringing you all along for the ride. We have a new website [pretty much the old one re-vamped!] which can be found via the old address or at:

www.theironmasters.co.uk

We are, of course, the same band with the same sound and enthusiasm and we are greatly looking forward to writing [in six
part harmony] the new chapter in our story. Thank you for your support in the past, and we look forward to playing for you in the future.

Best Wishes THE IRONMASTERS
