Thanks DaveRo, but I was mainly trying to duplicate Jack's experience with the early version of Safari. That's a computer I keep around for the occasional times I need to run a legacy OS9 app - OS 10.4 is the last one to run Classic. But isn't it likely the problem is not the encryption, but how older browsers deal with current web technology. I would imagine that since Mainly Norfolk runs fine on later versions of Safari, something has changed, and the extra steps to make the website (or more likely the hosting site) accessible to older browsers haven't been taken. But that doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem with the encryption itself, or in security.
