Dorothy Parshall Yet More Clutter's Last Stand - 2016 (374* d) RE: Yet More Clutter's Last Stand - 2016 24 Oct 16

Montreal
Drove from Beaver to the Mill on Friday, in time to get to the library, warm up the living space and go to the Cafe. The Steam Fitters were terrific. R made it down. Quiet eve, long sleep and quiet BF before he dashed away to work again - after repairing the electric to the studio heater! But I still got nothing done and came along to city in time to have a bite to eat and wait in vain for him to get home. Too tired to do anything, I went to bed.

Sunday, we tried to attend Quaker meeting in the Laurentians. We found the address but no one deigned to let us know it was elsewhere. It was beautiful but cold; not a great day for a walk in the woods. After an hour on the phone trying to find out where everyone was, we gave up and drove back to the city, had lunch at Falafel, went to library; R stayed and I walked home as the library air was stuffy. Nice walk! Still got nothing done but computering and reading. R went to bed at 7:30 and I at 10 and morning arrived about 9. Not tired?

So, a better day. R went to work and I phoned a friend in need. Then wrote her a long email, trying to be helpful (it helped me!), made a pot of green tea and sorted out the K and laundry room!!! Partly, looking for onions. NO onions so I phoned R to see if there were any possibility of him picking them up; at this time of day I did not want to lose my parking space! He laughed and said, "finally someone is asking me to do something I CAN do!"

He came home with onions and I made a nice, not great, Chicken Korma and we had supper in my sorted K. Made some choc coated ginger, R went back to work and I am back to computering. Managed a few useful things. Resting is also useful.
