The Second Fret was a small, "intimate" coffee house with bathroom up a flight of tight steps. It was probably the most iconic followed by the Main Point. Jerry Ricks was the booking agent and a talented guitarist, especially finger-picked country blues. He would work with the country blues greats when they were performing in town. He also taught private lessons.
