I also was curious as to the present whereabouts of Bob Holmes. I was a grad student at MIT from 1977 to 1982 and was into the Boston folk scene, attending many concerts at Passim. I saw Bob at The Idler in 1982. I bought his Railroad and Hard Times in the Flood Albums, and still have them. They're really good. I remember that the Railroad album had a scratch and I went to his apartment and he gave me a new copy that was in great shape. He was such a nice and personable guy. In 1982 I moved to Washington, DC and lost track of him. I recently moved back to the area and was wondering if he was still performing. My wife got a job with Biogen in Cambridge, just a few blocks from MIT, so my life has come full circle. Thanks to everyone for persevering in making contact with Bob. I'm glad to hear he's fine, married, and hopefully happy.
