No it doesn't MAKE anyone miserable. Well unless it's people with guitars hogging a session singing selfpenned miserable songs when I came to join in with some tunes & 'proper' folk songs (tongue in cheek there, a bit) It can touch a chord. So you might play a sad song when you are already sad. Or want to avoid hearing one.
