First Press Room Shanty Sing of the New Year! And it's the start of our 14th year, to boot. (First session was the second Saturday in January, 2003 -- we changed to third Saturday the following year.) The January Shanty, Forebitter and Foc's'le Ballad Session will be this Saturday, January 21st, 2017, from 3:30 to 7:30 PM at The Press Room on Daniel Street in Portsmouth, NH. We were foiled in December by the slippery weather (although Nick Noble and Jamie Bishop carried on valiantly with a slim parade of irregulars) so, I don't know about you, but I'm itchy to sing sea songs this Saturday! Live music (and, especially, participatory live music) rules! Come join us for the shanty sing on Saturday! Music makes the world a better place. Linn
