skarpi Ţorri Icelandic viking feast and music (18) Ţorri Icelandic viking feast and music 21 Jan 17

At this time of every year we here in Iceland held a event witch almost last for one month , and it´s called Ţorri .

At this feast and music Festival we eat food made like was done in the past , and the smell is not always as it´s best like the shark and sour whale meat , along with dry fish , lamp meat and of course
the Black Death ( BRENNIVÍN ) witch some of you who visit the Portaferry Gathering know about , we always put the brennivín in the freezer for over night , that bring ´s the better taste out

and the music is Icelandic folk song , from now and from the past , Fimmundar songs like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmdPUobgmaE and many more , here is list ,,
Krummi krunkar úti
Krummi svaf í klettagjá
ţorraţrćll

and many more , at some places they only sing Rímur and Stemmur witch are the oldest Icelandic folk music that we know of that we can still use , there have been found some older music form´s I have here at home but I have no knowledge of any cd of that music so far .

so Gleđilegan Ţorramánuđ ,

all the best Skarpi ICeland .
