I first met Danny in the early 70s when he was an Expert in Residence at The Geelong College and I was a fledgling Head of English. Danny so impressed all of us, staff, students and even the administration that he was appointed to the staff working in conjunction with Deakin University in Geelong. Later, when I moved to Morongo Girls' College Gael became a colleague. I shall miss Danny. He was a great friend, valuable colleague and highly talented musician. I will never forget the Danny Spooner Supergroup concerts at the old Bush Inn in Geelong. Goodbye old friend and love to Gael who was your rock. Chris Ingham
