I once had a job which involved meeting incoming passenger ferries. One March I duly remembered to put the clocks forward, but woke in the middle of the night and bizarrely put my alarm back again, meaning that several hundred people had to wait on the quayside.

One of them was our MP, who complained to the Home Secretary, which led to an apology from the Secretary of State in the Commons and a mention in Hansard.

Must write a song about it one day.
