I was fortunate to see him play at the Bumbershoot festival in Seattle in 1974 on a bill with John Hartford and Clifton Chenier-for free! I dragged 200 pounds of boooks and magazines with me to China. ONe of the magazines is " Esquire" from last year sometime with a pretty good article about him and his son. From what I read, he doesn't do live gigs anymore. What a shame, but he has his reasons. I sure would like to get the words and chords to about fifty songs of his. There is also a good story about the orgin of "Honky-Tonk Women", the best song he never wrote. Seth from China
