Vera is physically frail but mentally as strong as an ox - and alive and well and living in Ditchling in Sussex (where the ceilidh band I play in is based). She was the guest of honour at the Ditchling Fair (held every 2 years and at which we play for the dancing on the church green) in 2014 and looking very down to earth and alert and on the ball. Long life (even more) to her!
