Hi, new member, first post here. I've hung around here, and whenever I search for obscure or half-remembered songs, it seems I wind up here. So, the breadth and depth of the knowledge and the curiosity of the members here inspires me to risk this marginally folk-oriented query.

Around 1961-62 in central Connecticut, there was a very short-lived hit called something like The Mongolian Cavalry Fight Song. Ever since I got on the internet, I periodically look for traces of it, without success. I've even scoured the on-line top 40 lists of WPOP and WDRC, where it was played, with no success. It's a novelty song, a collage of scraps and bits, and all I can remember is

[something something something ....rhymes with Easter]
"Kugula kugula kugula beester
Achi cachi boomerachi
I (I-I) love (lo-ove) you, (you, you, you you you)!"

Imagine my delight when reading Azizi's wonderful thread on children's rhymes I found Eva's post of "atchi batchi comalatchi," a clear variant. I think both descend from "achi cachi Liberace, I love you," which I've now found through Google. At last, a clue! I didn't just imagine it! The song is evidently a part of the folk process, and I feel I'm getting tantalizingly close.

It's hard to search using phonetic spellings of nonsense verses with many variants, so even if the song doesn't ring a bell, if you have any suggestions, say about the "beester" piece, possible clues, similar songs, places to look, I would be supremely grateful.

If ANYONE would be able to help me end this 20-year obsession, here is where that person would be. Thank you, whoever you may be.
