Floorspots very welcome.

OK we know we shouldn't have favourites, but IF we did, then Stick in the Wheel would deffo be amongst them!

They blew us away the first time we ever saw them live, and they have continued to do so ever since.

"Stick In The Wheel have a knack for breathing fresh life into well-worn traditional material. Their reading of Seven Gypsies doesn't really do much to alter the content, but the delivery somehow makes it sound new" – FRUK

"There is a pleasingly raw, simple and authentic sound to their music" – Bright Young Folk

" Folk revivalists with a punk attitude" – The Guardian

As always, Stick have been doing some really innovative things lately, including curating "From Here" – an album featuring new field recordings by Jon Boden, John Kirkpatrick, Martin Carthy, Spiro, Eliza Carthy, Fay Hield, Sam Lee, Fran Foote (SITW), Jack Sharp (Wolf People), Nicola Kearey (SITW), Men Diamler, Bella Hardy, Stew Simpson, Lisa Knapp, Peta Webb & Ken Hall, Sam Sweeney and Rob Harbron.

Last time Stick were at The Ivy House, they were supporting Jim Causley and it will be great to see them headlining here in their own right. Hooray!
