If he had written or sung nothing else, all of us would be indebted to Gillette for the magnificent "Darcy Farrow," which has never worn out its welcome. I doubt that's even possible. The most recent version of it that I've heard, on Ian Tyson's Carnero Vaquero (Stony Plain, 2015), also happens to be my favorite, a particularly well conceived and moving reading. But I've never heard a version I didn't like.
