Ha Bill, the 'very rural and odd byways' covers our last house. The road wasn't 'adopted' and our massive and ghastly Leylandii hedge meant the house itself wasn't visible from the lane anyway. The camera van for Google Street View stopped at the end of the lane in the 'adopted' road, so we remained a well-hidden secret. That's why the chap with the aerial photo managed to sell me a copy of it. I expect the house is on Google Earth though. I'll have a look sometime.
