punkfolkrocker, I agree about the script writing. It has been very off-putting. I came to the conclusion that the writer knew what he meant and assumed the audience would too, so didn't bother to clarify what he was actually on about. That said, I still enjoyed the Peter Capaldi episodes. What put me off the series was the David Tennant/Billie Piper dynamic. It was very annoying to me, to the point where I could not "suspend disbelief" and become involved in the story lines. I was constantly aware of the personalities of the actors as actors rather than getting caught up in the characters and story lines so I was not engaged in it at all. So I stopped watching and then started again when Matt Smith started in the role. Will Fly, thanks for that memory about Tom Baker. It doesn't surprise me that he is the same in real life. Helen
