One great thing about GOT was the level of bad guys: At the end of last season I was concerned with the amount of house cleaning going on. This the season opener of Season 7 I found quite satisfying from beginning to end.

One of the elements I quite like is the quality of the dragons. They are made physically more believable by the wings being their forelegs - like bats. Not the ridiculous back appendages applied to Chinese dragons and Pegasus horses.

I've read all the books but that was years ago. George R.R. Martin is running way behind with the texts. I'm wondering if he will abandon them since the show plot has significantly departed his written series. I haven't seen any recent photos to assess his health, either.
