Track down its history and you will get more ideas about how to play it. I'm going to try the way I learned it from Iain Grant (six-on-a-spindle moothie player) when I'm at Whitby in a couple of weeks - key sequence F C F Bb F G D G C G - i.e. you play it twice, the first time round a tone down from usual. That should signal to the English melodeon players that you don't leave the C part out. I imagine most English-concertina players should be able to handle it that way.
