Big Al Whittle 1950s warehouse workers' dance (8) RE: 1950s warehouse workers' dance 27 Aug 17

I never got round to recording my essay into industrial song

Fisherman's Dance

This is the dance that the fishermen do
This is the dance that fisherman do
The shepherds and the farmers too
Before they go for a shit

This is the dance that the checkout girls do
This is the dance that the checkout girls do
The policemen and the taxi drivers too
Before they go for a shit

They sing and dance by the silvery moon
Stir their tea with a silver spoon
Have a crap and then real soon
They all go back to work

This is the dance that the firemen do
This is the dance that firemen do
The computers salesman and the stock clerks too
Before they scratch their bum

This is the dance that the doctors do
This is the dance that doctors do
The girl on the desk, and the kangaroo
Before they scratch their bum

They sing and dance by the silvery moon
Stir their tea with a silver spoon
Scratch their bums and then real soon
They all go back to work

This is the dance that the wordprocessers do
This is the dance that the typists do
Deepsea divers bus drivers too
Before they wipe their nose

This is the dance that the soldiers do
And the keepers in the zoo
The dustbin men, and the nurses too
Before they wipe their nose

They sing and dance by the silvery moon
Stir their tea with a silver spoon
Clear their nostrils then real soon
They all go back to work
