Gee, I've been to Thessaloniki and know about Alexander the Great and visited the grave of his father Phillip II, but I had never heard of the Latin Kingdom of Thessalonica. Turns out the kingdom was founded by Crusaders in 1204, and fell to Epirus in 1224. 20 years, and it was gone. -Joe-
