You'd be surprised - people are still buying and selling the old formats on eBay. Part of it has to do with computerized machinery. For example, a friend owns a business making promotional shirts, hats, bags, etc. Printing, embroidery, embossing, etc. The embroidery machine works like a champ but is old and still uses the old 3 1/2 floppy disks.
