Mrs may would probably have triggered it much sooner otherwise. Not so: the case before the court was whether it requires Parliament or could just be done by the government. She could have triggered it as early as she liked by bringing it to Parliament. But clearly she would not have a free hand to trigger Brexit. It would have to be put to parliament. That takes time, so some delay is required.
