on a different note; With the 1 in 5 opioid epidemic the country (and Trump States in particular) have become comfortably numb.
In literature they called the drug soma. Today it is a reality we call Oxycodone.

While Oxycodone is an opioid, I'm unsure of you claim for Soma.

My only real knowledge of Soma comes from the J Greenleaf Whittier poem: "On the brewing of Soma", which is best known for its final verses starting: "Dear Lord and Father of mankind"
