Rob Naylor How Many Guitars...Is Enough?? (49) RE: How Many Guitars...Is Enough?? 14 Dec 17

I have more than I have the talent or time to play enough:

1 Chisholm "scoop" acoustic, designed for fingerpicking but used as my main workhorse guitar.

1 Chisholm acoustic. Used to be my main workhorse, but under-used at home since acquiring the scoop.

1 Martin DX1AE acoustic. Hangs in my office at home, and is played most days when I'm working from home. Had terrible problems with fret wear when I first got it. Fixed by an Ian Chisholm re-fret.

1 Epiphone "Black Beauty" electric. Play it occasionally, but normally sits on a specially reinforced part of the floor in my office!

1 Yamaha 310 acoustic. Sits in my office on Sakhalin in the Russian Far East. Gets played there, in the bar at the Sapporo Hotel and in the bar at the Mishka Pub, but only when I'm in Russia.

1 Vintage acoustic. Lives at my sister's house in Findhorn, Scotland. Should sell it really as it hasn't been played for about 3 years.

1 Washburn travel guitar. Was originally bought for travelling back and forth to Russia, but became redundant when I bought the Yamaha out there. On permanent loan to the guitarist/ songwriter of the band "Gravity Drive", Elijah Wolf, who seems to use it a lot. It apparently features on their forthcoming new album.
