Came across this just now and have to say something about the description given of the KKK: "The KKK were self-appointed guardians of morality in the 1910s and 1920s and were known to extend a bit of corporal punishment to people caught getting frisky in Tin Lizzies out on country roads." This description strikes me as bizarre. The Ku Klux Klan were not "self-appointed guardians of morality" extending "a bit of corporal punishment to people caught getting frisky." They were (and are) a white supremacist organization aimed at suppressing minorities, especially black americans, with violence, including lynchings, bombings, and intimidation. The last line of this song refers to a practice that often resulted in death in a horrible way, including in relatively recent times in a well-publicized instance in Texas; dragging someone behind a vehicle. The song makes it sound humorous, but humorous it is not. I would avoid this song.
