I think there is a word of caution in the opening paragraph. It says the micro-minerals compounds were NOT KNOWN to occur on Earth, meteor, comet etc. That is not the same as saying they DO NOT occur on Earth, meteor, comet etc. Given the infinite nature of the Universe this sample could have been part of a meteor or comet that as yet, we mere humans, have not chanced upon before. That our knowledge of the Universe is at best limited all manner of chemical combinations of may be present elsewhere in the Universe of which we have no knowledge.
