Seen Jarlath in concert a number of times over the years, often in collaboration with Ross Ainslie, the Scottish piper and whistle player. When I first heard Jarlath sing, first impression was, "here's another instrumentalist who has been advised to break up the set with the odd song or two". Then I saw him with his band at Stonehaven Folk Festival last July. WHAT a singer, and a great band, if maybe a bit techno for some, but worked for me
