Here, at the Internet Archive, is a bootleg (I think) recording of a performance by Justin Townes Earle in which he sings a song called (according to the track list) "Ashes in My Dreams" attributed to Mance Lipscomb. However, when he sings, it sounds like he might be saying: "I says, in my dreams, I hear my doorbell ring"--which actually makes more sense.

I can't confirm that the attribution to Mance Lipscomb is correct.
