Nutty... from what I can see "My Eppie" was not a song as it did not have a tune. It was a very short verse of poetry and mearly gave the idea for the song. So this is not an adaptation of a traditional song. Jez now admits that it was original and that he wrote it.. surely that is the end of it.... Peter Bellamy did not change Kiplings work ...he just gave them tunes, probably borrowing traditional ones anyway.
