GUEST,Big Al Lyr Req: Help transcribing Bellman in English (2) Lyr Req: Help transcribing Bellman in English 16 Feb 18

Hi, thought I'd try to nail down a transcript of this delightful English version of No 11. "Portugal, Spanien, Stora Britannien" from the Swedish poet Bellman's "Fredmans sånger". Here is the English version:

Here are the Swedish lyrics for cross reference:

https://sv.wikisource.org/wiki/Portugal,_Spanien,_Stora_Britannien

Here is what I have so far:

-----

Portugal, Spain,

Ah, ready thy reign

?? both of ??? crowns

and Great Britain's as well.

Tonight, I confess,

a royal Princess,

should sleep in my arms just like any mamsell.

Nights without slumber

Softly we ????

To all my creditors, I bid farewell.

------

Rocket and bomb

and trumpet and drum

will early awake us to thunder of gun

Send in parade,

our troop serenade,

from crystal and cup drink a skål everyone!

Standards unfurl,

Cry "Vivat!" my girl

?? and thunder until day is done.

-----

Oysters and wine,

all red from the Rhine

forthwith I command to my Empress repast.

Puddings with plums in,

Waffles a dozen,

Make up a breakfast ???? at the last

A hundred piasters

(at least) my good masters

each luscious mouthful would certainly cost.

-----

Comrades, a skål

?? state's general

Holiest Father of Rome in thy ??

One Mass I am blessed,

Say "Farewell" Princess

The crown that vanished cost nothing at all!

Ended my Psalm is,

Brandy my balm is,

???????????
