Well, the area described in the NBC Article has never been a very good part of town. City Hall and Union Square and the hotels along Powell Street are fine, but it gets pretty rough a block away from those places. The city should be spending more money on cleanup and on housing for working people. The rest of the city looked pretty good to me when I was there last week, but it costs $2,000 or more to rent a studio apartment. Can't say I like your "song" at all. Through no fault of their own, lots of people can't afford to rent places with showers and toilets in San Francisco. Many San Francisco natives expect that the day will come soon that they won't be able to afford to live where they grew up. Many have already lost their homes. My nephew was forced out a few years ago, but he did find a nice place in Oakland. -Joe-
