Ah - memories! I used to go the Hope Poles in the early 1970s, whilst a student at Trent Park College just along the road from Enfield at Oakwood/Cockfosters. Remember hearing Martin Carthy, Ralph McTell and Diz Disley there, and - I think - also singing the odd song as a floor-singer. Also sang, I think, at Bounds Green (what was that pub's name?), King's Head at Islington,often attended - although never sang at - Dingles Ceilidh Club at The Roebuck in Tottenham Court Road.
