I don't think Mewan's longer term prospects are good but we keep her while she is generally happy and it does seem that it was an infection, now on the mend, that had dragged her down so far. As far as I understand it, with the particular lumps she has: They don't spread to other organs so no secondary cancer but get big and can cause cats' problems in other ways. Pip is also trying some homeopathic medicines but I don't hold a lot of hope out there.
